Tell My Tarot Scholarship

Applications for the Fall/Summer semester are now being accepted. This scholarship runs on a yearly basis. See below.

Thank you for your interest in the Tell My Tarot Scholarship Program. To encourage students pursuing studies in the Humanities, Tell My Tarot awards a $1,000 scholarship each year to the winning author of an essay on the theme of spirituality in relation to literature. As Ralph Waldo Emerson said, "The good writer seems to be writing about herself, but has her eye always on that thread of the Universe which runs through herself and all things." Therefore, we award this scholarship in honor of one student essay demonstrating literature as a means for investigating life's great mysteries.

How to Apply

To enter, applicants must write a 1000-word essay answering the following question: Which piece of literature has had the most significant spiritual effect on you, and how? Your essay should tell a story: why this chosen text, and where were you when you first read it? How did it make you feel? Make your essay part anecdote, part reflection. Show us where you were spiritually before you read the text and where you arrived after.

Submit your written essay as an attached PDF to scholarship@tellmytarot.com. Include the following information within the body of the email: First & Last Name, Phone Number, Address; School name; Intended major.

Deadline

All essays must be submitted by August 20, 2018. The winning essay will be selected August 27th, 2018. Following notification by email, a check will be mailed directly to the winning author on August 31st. The $1000 award can be used toward any educational expense.
